3D Printed G26 Build Kit Overview
The 3D Printed G26 Build Kit includes everything you need to finish your DD26.2 frame. The G26 is the subcompact version of Glock’s double-stack 9mm line, and finding matched parts for 3D printed builds can take some digging. This kit bundles the complete slide, frame parts, locking block, and precision rails into one purchase, all verified to work with the DD26.2 platform.
The Glock 26 has been a popular concealed carry choice since 1994. It holds 10+1 rounds in a frame short enough to disappear in an IWB holster, and it accepts any double-stack Glock magazine if you need more capacity. For 3D printed pistol builders, the DD26.2 frame brings that same versatility to the home shop.
What’s Included in This 3D Printed Glock 26 Kit
Complete Glock 26 Slide
Full slide assembly with barrel, internals, and sights. The G26 uses a shorter slide than the G19 but shares the same width, so holster and accessory options are plentiful. Compatible with Gen 3 Glock 26 pattern frames including the DD26.2.
FMDA DD26.2 Rail
Precision-formed stainless steel rails designed specifically for the DD26.2 frame. The front rails are a new design unique to this platform, not scaled-down versions of the G19 rails. The rear rails use the improved DDxx.2 no-screw mounting system that’s stronger and easier to assemble than earlier designs.
Glock 26 Locking Block
CNC machined from 17-4 stainless steel to Gen 3 Glock 26 specifications. The three-pin design fits the DD26.2 and its remixes. Quality matters here since the locking block takes significant stress during cycling.
Glock 26 Frame Parts Kit
Complete lower parts: trigger bar, trigger housing with 9mm ejector, connector, all springs, slide stop, slide lock, pins, and magazine catch. These drop into a properly printed DD26.2 frame without hand fitting.
Why Build a 3D Printed Glock 26
The Double-Stack Subcompact
The G26 holds 10+1 rounds in a frame that’s significantly shorter than a G19. For deep concealment, that extra half inch matters. And because it takes standard Glock double-stack magazines, you can run G17 or G19 mags with grip extensions when capacity is the priority.
One Kit, No Parts Hunt
G26-specific components aren’t as common as G19 parts. The locking block, rails, and frame parts are different from the larger models, and mixing parts between platforms causes problems. We put this kit together so everything matches and works on the DD26.2 out of the box.
DDxx.2 System Reliability
The DD26.2 uses the same improved rear rail design as the DD17.2 and DD19.2. FMDA developed this system to solve the assembly headaches and durability issues of earlier frames. The front rails were designed fresh for the G26 platform, not adapted from larger designs.
Also Compatible with .40 S&W
The DD26.2 frame accepts both G26 (9mm) and G27 (.40 S&W) slides. This kit ships with a 9mm upper. If you want .40, the rails and lower parts kit work for either caliber, so you can always add a G27 slide later.
What Else You Need for Your 3D Printed G26
DD26.2 Frame (You Print This)
Files are available free from DEFCAD, Odyssee, and The Gatalog. Search for “DD26.2” or “FMDA Glock 26.” The download includes print settings and assembly instructions. PLA+ works well for most builders. The subcompact frame prints faster than a G19 due to smaller size.
Magazine
Any Glock 26 magazine from Gen 3 through Gen 5, or aftermarket equivalents like Magpul PMAGs. G17 and G19 magazines also work and give you 17 or 15 rounds with the grip extension below the frame. We sell magazines separately if you need them.
Basic Tools
Punch set, hammer, and standard gunsmithing tools. The DD26.2 assembly process is similar to other DDxx.2 frames, with plenty of video tutorials available online.
