G80 Unfinished Receiver Overview
The G80 Unfinished Receiver is a precision-machined steel fire control unit (FCU) that serves as the serialized core of your G80 build. Unlike traditional polymer 80% frames with separate rails and components, the G80 Unfinished Receiver integrates the locking block, trigger housing, and slide rails into one monolithic unit. Heat-treated 4140 steel with a black nitride finish. Built to outlast polymer alternatives.
Once finished, the G80 Unfinished Receiver accepts any OEM or aftermarket Glock G19, G23, or G32 Gen3 components. That means access to the massive Glock aftermarket: slides, barrels, triggers, and more. The 120R grip module compatibility opens up even more options, including open-source grips you can 3D print yourself.
The G80 Unfinished Receiver was designed specifically to meet the VanDerStok compliance standard established by the Supreme Court in March 2025. Made in USA (Austin, TX). Ships with pins and slide lock spring included. Current lead time is 4-6 weeks. Price: $129.99.
What Makes the G80 Unfinished Receiver Different
Monolithic Steel Construction
The G80 Unfinished Receiver combines the locking block, trigger housing, and slide rails into a single precision-machined unit. No separate rail assemblies to align. No plastic components to flex or wear. Just one solid piece of heat-treated 4140 steel that delivers tighter slide-to-frame fit and zero flex under recoil.
Black Nitride Finish
The G80 Unfinished Receiver features a black nitride finish for superior wear and corrosion resistance. Nitride outperforms Parkerizing and bluing in durability testing, making it ideal for carry guns, range builds, or harsh environments. The finish penetrates the steel surface rather than sitting on top, so it won’t chip or peel.
Integrated Design Features
The G80 Unfinished Receiver includes features that simplify assembly and improve function: integrated slide lock (no extra parts), built-in magazine overtravel stop (smoother reloads), captive trigger housing (stays in place), self-retaining coiled spring pins (easier maintenance), widened slide stop lever gap (better compatibility), and secured ejector retention (consistent ejection).
120R Grip Module Compatible
The G80 Unfinished Receiver uses the 120R grip module standard developed by Defense Distributed. Your finished receiver drops into any 120R-compatible grip, including the G80 Grip Module and grips designed for the G100 platform. Swap colors, textures, or ergonomics without changing the serialized component. Open-source grip files are available for 3D printing.
VanDerStok Compliant
The G80 system was engineered specifically to meet the Supreme Court’s VanDerStok standard (March 2025). The kit ships without all necessary components, requires uncommon tools, and takes over an hour to complete. All three criteria for federal legality, built into the product from day one.
